Amaterasu Omikami is enshrined here. Cross the Uji Bridge at the entrance and you have entered the precincts of the gods. The beauty of the green of the trees and the flowing water will cleanse your heart. Just as at the Outer Shrine, pray calmly at the Main Sanctuary.
