There is a proper route for visiting Ise Jingu. First, one goes to Okitama Shrine in Futami, then to the Outer Shrine (Geku), next to the Inner Shrine (Naiku) and finally pilgrims climb Mt Asama. Shiojitei is in the best location for following the official route. If you want to want to make a proper pilgrimage to Ise Grand Shrine, definitely stay at Shiojitei.
From Shiojitei, Ise, Toba and Shima are all within easy distance and it is great for trips around Mie Prefecture. This really is the most convenient place to stay in Mie.

      When you see the Todaya Hotel, turn left just before it.

    • Route from Ise 2

      When you see the Toba Hotel International sign, turn right.

    • Route from Ise 3

      Now you can see Shiojitei. Keep going a little farther up the hill and you have arrived.

      Once past Toba Station, move into the left lane and drive toward Ohama. A Toba Hotel International sign will be visible.

      After going under the overpass your will see a sign for our hotel. Turn right.

      Now you can see Shiojitei. Keep going a little farther up the hill and you have arrived.
